The Role

Genius Sports is a longstanding user of the Atlassian tooling. Like most companies, we have accrued some overlap in our internal tooling and we’re looking to streamline this across teams by importing data and migrating teams over to the Atlassian stack. Genius Sports is looking for a passionate Atlassian administrator to help us with achieving our goal of driving adoption of Jira and Confluence further within the business so we can end up with a unified stack for documentation and work management.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor responsible usage of the Jira & Confluence systems and maintain configuration and workflows

• Monitor upcoming changes and feature releases for tools in scope

• Support adoption of Atlassian tooling when migration is being done

• Work with the IT team on reviewing requests or suggestions, assess their impact and value, and prioritise appropriately

• Understand usage and plan migrations between ITSM and documentation tooling

• Write scripts and API calls as needed to automate migration processes

• In conjunction with the IT and business teams, plan appropriate migration paths to ensure usability and feature parity

• Script API calls to facilitate the migration into from Jira and Confluence from other tooling - Notion, Linear, other Jira instances

Requirements:

• Professional experience: Work experience in a similar position where maintenance of Atlassian tooling and migration to Atlassian tools was required

Additional qualifications and requirements:

• Extensive Atlassian experience - Jira and Confluence and their respective API’s

• Experience in migrating/merging Jira instances and migrating data into Jira and Confluence cloud

• Understanding of the agile workflow and requirements

• Understanding of permissions structure in Atlassian tooling

• Ability to quickly learn and adapt

• Solid verbal and written communication skills (English), including the ability to communicate complex issues to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
