Associate Vice President-Datacenter

Now, We’re looking for a dynamic AVP-Data Center Manager who will lead a team of IT professionals, manage vendor relationships, and ensure the seamless operations of datacentre services.

What you will do:

• Leading and overseeing datacentre operations, ensuring the smooth functioning of all equipment and systems.
• Developing and implementing datacentre strategies to optimize performance and efficiency.
• Managing a team of datacentre professionals, including technicians and engineers, to maintain an elevated level of operational excellence.
• Collaborating with IT and business leaders to align datacentre objectives with overall organizational goals.
• Implementing security measures to protect data and physical assets within the datacentre.
• Monitoring and analysing datacentre performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
• Ensuring compliance with datacentre regulations and industry best practices.
• Budgeting and fiscal management related to data center operations, including procurement and cost control.

What you will bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT infrastructure and datacenter management.
• Proven experience in a leadership role, managing a team of IT professionals Insert text.
• Service Availability & Uptime Reporting
• Ability to report and analyse system uptime and availability metrics.
• SLA Management - Tracking SLA/OLA compliance tracking.
• Proficiency in conducting RCAs & Incident Tracking
• Inventory Management
• Familiarity with ITIL incident and problem management processes.
• Skilled in preparing and presenting operational reports to stakeholders.
• Proficiency in tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Excel for dashboarding.
• Knowledge of data centre standards (e.g., ISO 27001).

Automation, Scripting & GitHub Knowledge

• Experience in automating routine data center tasks such as backups, health checks, log archiving, and system status reporting.
• Familiarity with automation tools like Ansible, Puppet, Chef, or custom-built scripts. Ability to write, test, and maintain scripts for monitoring, alerting, and configuration management.
• Strong understanding of Git and GitHub for version control and collaboration.

- Certified Datacentre Professional (CDCP)

- Certified Datacentre Manager (CDCM)

- ITIL Foundation Certification

- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
