NXP Semiconductors Netherlands B.V. is seeking a talented and enthusiastic AI Research Intern to contribute to cutting-edge research and development in artificial intelligence. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work alongside experienced researchers on innovative projects that will shape the future of embedded AI solutions.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist in the design, implementation, and evaluation of novel AI algorithms and machine learning models for various applications.
• Conduct literature reviews and stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI research, particularly in areas relevant to NXP's focus (e.g., edge AI, embedded vision, TinyML).
• Develop and optimize software prototypes in Python.
• Working experience in the AWS ecosystem, and with time series IoT data,
• Contribute to data collection, preprocessing, and annotation efforts to support AI model training and validation.
• Perform experiments, analyze results, and present findings clearly and concisely to the research team.
• Collaborate with senior researchers and engineers on research projects, contributing to problem-solving and ideation.
• Document research methodologies, experimental setups, and results in a structured manner, resulting in a final report to be written and presented to the use case stakeholders and Data Science CoE team

Job Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a Master's degree in AI related studies,
• Strong foundational understanding of machine learning principles, deep learning architectures, and statistical methods.
• Proficiency in Python and AWS services
• Familiarity with deep learning frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar.
• Experience with data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., NumPy, Pandas, Matplotlib).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong analytical mindset.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced research environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Prior experience with embedded systems, natural language processing, or reinforcement learning is a plus.
