AI Engineer Workflows & Agents (m/f/d) (e.g. with Langdock, n8n & make)

What you'll do:
WaveSix, the world’s first AI Product Studio, is looking for a hands-on AI Process Automation Engineer (m/f/d) to design and implement agents and intelligent process automation solutions using tools like Langdock and n8n.

In this role, you’ll bridge the gap between business processes and automation technology. Working closely with our consultants and reporting to the C-Level, you’ll translate complex workflows into efficient, AI-driven systems that improve speed, quality, and scalability across industries.

Primary Responsibilities

• Automation & Workflow Engineering

• Design and implement automation workflows using Langdock, n8n, Make, and custom integrations.

• Build modular and reusable automation components that can scale across use cases and clients.

• Assistants & Agents

• Build AI assistants, agents, and multi-agent systems to automate complex workflows and collaborative tasks across platforms.

• Integration & System Architecture

• Connect diverse systems (e.g. CRM, ERP, HR tools, and data platforms) via APIs and webhooks to create end-to-end automated processes.

• Ensure data flow consistency, security, and performance in complex multi-system environments.

• AI-Enhanced Operations

• Embed LLM and GenAI components into process automations — enabling smarter decision-making, classification, and content generation.

• Prototype and deploy intelligent assistants and automation agents that improve workflows for corporate teams.

• Quality, Monitoring & Optimization

• Develop testing and monitoring pipelines to ensure automation reliability.

• Continuously refine workflows for performance, stability, and user experience.

• Collaboration & Enablement

• Client collaboration: Work directly with clients to understand their business processes, identify automation opportunities, and translate needs into actionable technical solutions.

• Support workshops and internal training sessions to upskill teams in AI and automation tools. 

• Innovative Prototype Development: Spearhead the creation and evolution of AI prototypes that push the boundaries of innovation, transforming visionary ideas into impactful solutions that delight users and set industry trends.

What you bring:
Required Skills and Qualifications 

• Min. 3+ years of experience building automation workflows or process automation

• Ideally experienced with tools such as Langdock, n8n, Make or Zapier

• Client communication: Strong communication skills with the ability to discuss complex technical concepts in a clear, business-oriented way.

• Solid understanding of APIs, webhooks, and data integrations (REST, GraphQL, JSON)

• Experience connecting business systems such as SAP, HubSpot, Notion, MS Suite or Slack through automation tools

• Proficiency in Python (for advanced automation logic, data handling, and LLM interaction)

• Familiarity with LLMs and AI APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Hugging Face, etc.) and their integration into workflows

• Working knowledge of cloud hosting (Azure, AWS or similar) and version control (Git)

• Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to translate business logic into scalable technical workflows

• Excellent English; German proficiency is required.

• A degree in Computer Science, STEM, or a related field.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt in a dynamic company.

• Experience in a fast-paced and/or entrepreneurial environment.
