About Delta Capita
Delta Capita is a global consulting, managed services, and technology solutions firm serving leading financial institutions. We help clients transform operating models, enhance regulatory compliance, and harness new technologies—including AI—to achieve more efficient, resilient, and scalable operations.
We are now expanding our Frankfurt team and are seeking an Anti Financial Crime AI Consultant (AI Interpreter / AI-Enhanced Business Analyst / AI Process Consultant) with deep KYC / AFC experience to help clients redesign risk assessment and onboarding processes using AI-driven insights.
Role Overview
You will act as the bridge between business, compliance, operations, and advanced AI technologies. Your primary focus will be on simplifying KYC / AFC processes, reducing manual reviews, and enabling end-to-end risk assessment using AI and automation. You will translate regulatory requirements and business needs into AI-enabled workflows, ensuring that data, models, and outputs align with operational and compliance controls.
This role suits someone with a hybrid skillset across business analysis, AML/KYC expertise, process optimisation, and an understanding of how AI systems can be safely and effectively applied within financial institutions.
Key Responsibilities
• Translate KYC / AFC requirements into AI-driven process designs that reduce manual checks and streamline workflows.
• Assess current-state client onboarding and risk assessment processes across private banking, wealth management, and retail banking environments.
• Identify opportunities to introduce AI, machine learning, NLP, and automation to enhance decisioning and risk scoring.
• Serve as the liaison between compliance, operations, and data/AI engineering teams to clarify business logic and model needs.
• Evaluate AI outputs (e.g., document extraction, entity resolution, transaction risk indicators) and interpret results for business stakeholders.
• Develop target operating models incorporating AI-enabled decisioning and exception management.
• Lead workshops to educate stakeholders on AI capabilities, risks, and usage within regulated processes.
• Support algorithm validation activities, model governance, explainability requirements, and documentation.
• Define data requirements, business rules, and acceptance criteria for AI-assisted onboarding and AFC processes.
• Conduct impact assessments, risk assessments, and change analysis to ensure alignment with EU/BAFIN regulations.
• Create user stories, process flows, test cases, and implementation plans.
• Support UAT, workflow integration testing, and go-live activities for AI-enabled tooling.
