Job Description
AI Automation Engineer
Automation • AI Workflows • ROI on Every Build
About Digacore
At Digacore, we help businesses operate smarter through technology, automation, and exceptional support. We’re a fast-paced MSP that blends IT, development, automation, and client experience into one collaborative environment.
We’re looking for an AI Automation Engineer who is curious, AI-native, and energized by the idea of building real workflows that save time and money. In this role, you’ll sit shoulder-to-shoulder with end users — internal teams and clients — to identify pain points, design AI-augmented workflows, and ship them using tools like Claude, n8n, and Power Automate. You don’t need to be a senior developer — you do need to know how to talk to Claude, build with its guidance, and learn our MSP and client context quickly. You won’t just automate tasks; you’ll tag a measurable ROI against every workflow you ship.
What You’ll Do
Sit with end users and stakeholders to uncover repetitive, manual, or high-friction workflows that are candidates for AI and automation
Design and build AI-augmented workflows using Claude (Code, Skills, Agent SDK), n8n with AI nodes/agents, and Power Automate with Copilot — leaning on Claude as your pair-programmer
Create Claude Skills, Agents, and Cowork plugins tailored to specific departments and use cases
Tag a measurable metric against every workflow you build — estimated hours saved, manual steps reduced, runs executed, user adoption — and do the basic math to show impact
Translate business problems into clear, scoped solutions and well-written Jira tickets
Prototype quickly, gather user feedback, and iterate — ship working flows, not slide decks
Build and maintain lightweight integrations between Claude, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, APIs, and internal tools
Partner with senior developers and automation engineers to harden your prototypes into production-ready workflows
Write and troubleshoot supporting scripts, API calls, and small automations that glue systems together
Document each workflow clearly so other team members and clients can use, support, and extend it
Communicate professionally with executives, leadership, and end users — during discovery, demos, and rollout
What You Bring
Required Skills & Experience
1–3 years of hands-on experience in automation, scripting, or development — enough to build with confidence, not enough to be senior
Working knowledge of Claude — you’ve used Claude.ai or Claude Code, and you’re comfortable directing it to build, debug, and iterate alongside you
Hands-on experience building workflows in at least one of: n8n (ideally with AI nodes/agents) or Power Automate (ideally with Copilot)
Comfort with basic scripting and API integrations (REST, JSON, webhooks)
An ROI mindset — you instinctively ask “how much time does this save?” and can tag a metric to the work
Strong discovery and listening skills — you can sit with a non-technical end user and pull the real problem out of them
Excellent written and verbal communication; comfortable presenting your work to leadership and clients
Strong troubleshooting and research instincts, and the ability to pick up new tools and models quickly
Willingness to ramp on our MSP and client context — you don’t need to know it on day one, but you need to want to learn it
Preferred Skills & Experience
MSP experience
Experience with additional LLM platforms and APIs (OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, etc.) and prompt engineering best practices
Familiarity with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and the Power Platform
Experience working with databases such as Supabase, Postgres, or SQL Server
Basic familiarity with Node.js, React, or other modern frameworks — enough to read code and extend small apps with Claude’s help
Experience supporting operational workflows or internal business systems
The Right Mindset
We care just as much about mindset as technical ability. The ideal person for this role:
Is genuinely excited about AI and treats new models, tools, and patterns as opportunities, not threats
Loves talking to end users and watching them work — that’s where the best automations are born
Thinks in terms of outcomes and ROI, not just tickets closed
Can stay calm and professional when clients are stressed or systems are misbehaving
Has a “white glove” approach to customer service
Balances speed with care — ships quickly, but documents and tests what they build
Wants to grow into a senior AI automation / agent engineering role over time
Is excited to work across many different technologies instead of specializing in only one area
How You’ll Be Measured
Number of AI/automation workflows shipped per quarter
Documented hours and dollars saved across the workflows you build
End-user adoption and satisfaction with the workflows you deliver
Quality and reliability of the flows you put into production
Growth in your technical depth across Claude, n8n, and the broader AI toolchain
Perks & Benefits
Nationwide medical, dental, life, and LTD insurance (we cover LTD + life 100%)
Generous PTO + Mental Health Days
401(k) with company match
HSA & FSA options
Paid training & certification assistance — including AI/LLM certifications
$500 sign-on bonus
Quarterly team events and career coaching
