As a Zipline Guide, you play an essential role in delivering safe, engaging, and memorable experiences for our guests. You work well independently and as part of a team and are comfortable being assertive when safety requires it. Prior experience in outdoor activities, teaching, or leadership is considered an asset.
What You’ll Do:
· Participate in all opening inspections and daily gear inspections, escalating any concerns to a Team Lead
· Demonstrate proper use of equipment by ensuring appropriate fit, adjustment, and use of equipment and provide clear, concise safety briefings to guests
· Follow and support all activity guidelines, policies, and procedures
· Act as a positive and proactive member of the Niagara Adventure Excursions team
· Escalate concerns when guests may be putting themselves or others at risk
· Monitor elements for risk management and intervene when necessary, following training protocols
· Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including cleaning, sweeping, mopping, and waste removal as required
· Report incidents or inappropriate behavior involving guests or team members to Team Leads, Supervisors, or Park Management
· Report equipment malfunctions or abnormalities to Team Leads or the Tech Team
· Understand and follow site emergency and evacuation procedures
· Remain aware of terrain risks such as loose rock, snow, ice, or mud, and take appropriate action to manage or escalate these risks
· Consistently deliver high standards of work in all weather conditions
· Take proactive steps to manage environmental and physical risks, including hydration, weather exposure, and recognizing signs of cold or heat related illness
· Complete additional duties as assigned by Team Leads, Supervisors, or Park Management
What You Bring:
· Good judgment and confident decision-making abilities
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
· A positive attitude and openness to feedback
· Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including carrying and lifting equipment, frequent standing and walking, climbing, and bending or kneeling
o Assistance is required for lifts over 50 lbs, and reasonable accommodations may be available
· Standard First Aid and CPR C certification
o Certification is not required to apply, but must be obtained and presented prior to the first day of work
On the job training and ongoing support are provided.
Preferred Qualifications
· Knowledge of or experience in outdoor recreation, either through participation or previous employment
· Experience in a risk management role
· Experience working in a fast-paced, hospitality-based environment
Department and Reporting Structure
The Zipline Guide position falls under the Element Department. You report to the Zipline Guide Team Lead and are supported by the Element Supervisor and Leadership Team.
Work Schedule
Seasonal position with flexible full-time or part-time hours based on operational needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
This position is planned to begin around April 1st 2026.
