Yard Worker (Seasonal)

Primary Function:

Reporting to our location at 2410 Lower Base Line, Oakville. The yard worker maintains a professional work environment by greeting and helping customers in a friendly and professional manner, upkeeping the cleanliness of the yard, and providing general assistance to the overall day-to-day operations of the facility.

Typical Duties:

Ensure bagged products are filled and kept in stock.

Prepare orders for delivery.

Ensure the yard is safe, clean, organized, and professional conditions exist at all times.

Greet customers and assist with loading products into their vehicles.

Safely and efficiently operate the equipment as required and report any Health and Safety concerns to the supervisor on duty.

Maintain open and clear communication with other team members.

Cross-train on various roles – as required.

Complete additional assigned tasks – as required.

Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications, and Experience:

Must be comfortable with repeated heavy lifting - up to 80lbs.

Must enjoy working in a physically demanding and fast-paced environment.

Must be willing to work Saturdays and occasional holidays.

Must enjoy working outside in all weather conditions.

Must have effective communication and time management skills.

Customer service experience is an asset.
