We are seeking a skilled and motivated Hydraulic Technician to join our workshop team based in Brisbane.
This is a hands on role focused on the overhaul, testing, and refurbishment of hydraulic components and power units, with occasional involvement in installation and commissioning activities.
Working closely with the service team, you will play a key role in delivering high quality repairs, diagnostics, and reporting that support strong customer outcomes.
What you will be doing
• Component Rebuild & Testing: Rebuild and test hydraulic components including pumps, motors, and wheel drives
• Power Unit Refurbishment: Refurbish hydraulic power units to a high standard, ensuring reliability and performance
• Diagnostics & Reporting: Perform fault finding and prepare detailed product analysis and service reports
• Installation Support: Assist with installation and commissioning of hydraulic systems as required
• Parts & Job Preparation: Order and prepare required components, perform testing, and identify further repair needs
• Documentation & Quality: Prepare service quotations and maintain accurate documentation, ensuring quality standards are met
• Systems & Administration: Upload service documentation including reports, vendor quotes, and delivery dockets
• Workshop Standards: Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment
• Trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting, Hydraulics, or similar
• Experience working with hydraulic components such as pumps, motors, and power units
• Strong fault finding and diagnostic skills
• Experience in workshop based repairs, rebuilds, and testing
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Good communication skills and ability to work within a team
• Experience using systems such as SAP or similar (desirable)
