Job Description
At EFT Mobility AG, we are redefining the future of clean, high-performance autonomous flight with next-generation electric power systems tailored for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs). Founded in 2019 in Munich by industry veterans from Tesla, BMW, and Siemens, our agile tech company merges deep-rooted expertise with a bold vision for innovation.
We develop batteries, chargers, and power distribution systems, specifically optimized for demanding UAV applications. Our focus is on delivering solutions that achieve industry-leading flight times, power delivery, and reliability. Operating in a fast-paced, startup environment, our highly skilled team thrives on short development cycles, turning groundbreaking ideas into deployed solutions.
As a Working Student in Mechanical Design, you will join our team to gain hands-on experience and support the design, development, and implementation of our innovative battery and charger products. Working within our world-class team of over 30 specialists, you will help push the boundaries of sustainable mobility by supporting high-quality engineering tasks.
You will collaborate with stakeholders across electronics, firmware, and supply chain departments, applying core engineering principles under the guidance of senior engineers to learn how projects move from concept toward production. This role offers a blend of hands-on support and CATIA design tasks.
What is your Day to Day Mission:
• Design and development of mechanical components and fixtures
• Perform basic mechanical and thermal sizing calculations to support concept decisions
• Execute in-house rapid prototyping activities, particularly using 3D printing, to validate design concepts at an early stage
• Create manufacturing-ready part and product drawings for procurement
• Prepare and maintain development and product documentation, such as review documents, bills of materials (BoMs), and assembly instructions
• Support the development of tools and test fixtures for testing and validation processes
• Coordinate and manage the procurement of prototype parts
