What is the role about?

We are looking for a motivated Junior Developer who is eager to grow into a Workday Extend Developer through structured learning, hands-on project experience, and mentorship from senior consultants.

This role is designed as a development pathway — giving you the opportunity to build your technical expertise while working on real client projects. You’ll start by strengthening your foundations in Workday Extend, Built on Workday, and enterprise cloud development, with the goal of becoming a confident Workday Extend Developer capable of delivering scalable, high-impact solutions.

You’ll work alongside experienced Workday consultants and developers, gaining exposure to the full application lifecycle — from requirements gathering through to deployment and post-go-live support — while deepening your understanding of Workday HCM and Financials domains.

Responsibilities will include:

• Participating in the end-to-end development of Workday Extend applications across client projects

• Collaborating with customers and internal teams to gather, refine, and document business requirements

• Designing, building, and deploying custom applications using Workday Extend and Built on Workday technologies

• Supporting existing applications and troubleshooting issues as they arise

• Developing deep knowledge of Workday Extend and its integration with core HCM/Financials modules

• Building strong relationships with clients to ensure delivered solutions are aligned with business needs and commercially viable

• Contributing to team knowledge sharing and best practices, while escalating complex issues when appropriate

As an Incubane consultant, you will have the flexibility to manage your own day, as long as you meet your set objectives and client demands. Often your team will be a mix of on-site and remote based members who will connect using IM, video calls and an online ticketing system. Good communication skills and time management is essential for this role.
