• Ensure WHS compliance and safety culture
Coordinate workplace health & safety activities, maintain incident reporting systems, conduct risk assessments, and promote a proactive safety culture across all departments.
• Lead audits, reporting, and compliance management
Manage WHS records, compliance certificates, and internal audits while ensuring adherence to Australian legislation and Accor standards.
• Support training, onboarding, and team engagement
Facilitate WHS training programs, maintain training records, and support onboarding to ensure all team members understand safety responsibilities.
• Drive continuous improvement and ESG initiatives
Conduct environmental audits, manage ESG reporting, and work with leadership to improve quality, safety systems, and operational performance.
• Collaborate and influence across stakeholders
Act as a key advisor to Department Heads, liaise with external bodies (e.g., WorkSafe, auditors), and use strong communication and leadership skills to drive compliance and outcomes.
• Relevant experience and regulatory knowledge
Minimum 1 year experience in a Health & Safety role (ideally in hospitality) with a strong understanding of Australian WHS legislation and compliance requirements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to assess risks, investigate incidents, interpret data, and implement effective safety and compliance solutions.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement
Confident in communicating with all levels of staff, influencing Department Heads, and liaising with external stakeholders such as auditors and regulators.
• Organisational and project management capability
Skilled in managing multiple priorities, maintaining accurate records, coordinating training, and delivering audits and compliance programs efficiently.
• Leadership, adaptability, and people-focused mindset
Ability to coach and mentor teams, promote a positive safety culture, adapt to change, and demonstrate integrity, initiative, and strong interpersonal skills.
