Cloud Employee is a global company with offices in UK, Australia and the Philippines. We provide full-time outsourced Software Engineers in the Philippines across all technologies and levels to over 100 startups, SMEs and large corporates. We save businesses on average 65% versus hiring locally.

Our goal is to bridge the gap providing access to highly qualified IT professionals that you hand-select to work directly for your company. Staff report to you daily from our managed offices in the Philippines working your timezone as an extension of your in-house team.

With Cloud Employee’s Dedicated Staffing model, you can hire a single developer or a full offshore development team. You manage your staff with the tools and methods you know and work with daily, and we look after the back office leaving you to focus on the development and running of your business.

Your role would be as a full web developer, with the main focus being on WordPress development (PHP development and front-end work). Our typical projects are taking a design from client (in either PSD or Sketch) and creating a custom, fully working WordPress theme from that. Your primary tasks would mainly be transforming a beautiful design, into a pixel perfect working WordPress theme. Of course a lot of other tasks are included in the job as well, since we handle sites for around 50 clients on retainer each month. So the work is usually focused around 50-70% on an ongoing project, and the rest of the time spent on other tasks on miscellaneous projects/issue handling etc

• Excellent WordPress theme/plugin skills
• Very good front-end skills (HTML, CSS, SASS, Javascript. This means fairly new methods as well, such as flexbox and advanced css.)
• Experience with Woocommerce
• Good PHP coding knowledge. (Best-practice and familiarity with basic PHP such as functions, classes, looping etc)
• Excellent communication skills in English
• Good knowledge of GIT version control
