Wordpress Content Editor

We are hiring a web content editor who will manage and update LXT’ WordPress website including executing content updates and optimizations based on our editorial calendar and task lists, with a solid understanding of SEO best practices.

Responsibilities

Content Management:

Update and publish content on our WordPress website following provided guidelines

Edit existing pages and blog posts based on specifications in Trello/spreadsheets 

Upload new content, images, and media files 

Format content properly (headings, paragraphs, lists, links) 

Update internal links throughout the site as directed 

Ensure content is properly structured and user-friendly

SEO Implementation: 

Update meta titles and meta descriptions per our instructions

Add and optimize alt tags for images 

Implement internal linking changes as specified 

Update header tags (H1, H2, H3) following best practices 

Make on-page SEO adjustments based on provided checklists

Technical Tasks:

Fix broken links and redirect errors 

Update navigation menus and site structure as needed 

Basic HTML/CSS edits when required 

Coordinate with external developers for more complex technical changes

Maintain website health by addressing issues flagged in our tools

Qualifications:

3-5 years of experience in a similar content editor or webmaster role

Strong WordPress experience (editing, publishing, managing content) 

Solid understanding of SEO fundamentals (what meta tags are, why internal linking matters, how search engines work, etc.) 

Comfortable working with HTML in the WordPress editor 

Experience with project management tools (Trello, Asana, spreadsheets)

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

Fluent English

Experience with WordPress SEO visual editor plugins is a plus

Basic CSS knowledge is a plus

Awareness of AI products and services is a plus

Highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks from lists 

Self-sufficient and comfortable working independently 

Able to follow detailed instructions precisely 

Proactive in flagging issues or asking questions
