Windows System Administration

This position will provide overall administration, support, and management of the Distributed environments including Windows 2000, Win 2003, NT, and all variants. Primary focus is to support day to day management of Active Directory and user administration. Maintain and maximize the multi-platform infrastructure providing optimal availability and performance. This will require a high level understanding of complex distributed systems knowledge which includes diagnosing and solving problems associated with multi-vendor and multi-platform environments. Tasks include planning, installation, Server building, customization, testing and administration of Wintel based systems.

· Lead senior level technical implementation and support

· Actively monitor the existing Intel Distributed environments daily

· Optimize health and performance of the overall infrastructure

· Offer extensive engineering and deployment support regarding Server Consolidations and Refreshes as defined by the Business area

· Provide support for Intel Distributed environments optimizing availability and performance to the customer base

· Ability to implement network configurations including Local Area, Wide Area, Ethernet, TCP/IP, Cisco switching technologies, DNS, and DHCP

· Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Windows 2000/2003/2008 Server and Professional, Windows NT 4.0 Server, MS Terminal Server, Active Directory, Certificate Server, SQL Server 7.0/2000/5, Exchange Server 2000/2003, and Cluster Server

· Advanced knowledge of standard IBM server hardware

· Experience with Systems Management Tools in relation to a production Distributed environment

· Must have experience on VMware ESX servers (3.0, 3.5 and 4.0)

· Having certification on VCP4.0 would be added advantage

· Knowledge of storage terms (VG, LUNS, etc).
