Wine Associate - Eataly Don Mills

The Wine Associate provides an exceptional guest service experience while driving sales and serving as the liaison between the GM of Beverage, the Restaurants Front of House Team and the Retail Beverage Operations Manager.

Reports directly to the General Manager of Store Operations and functionally to the Retail Beverage Operations Manager and GM of Beverage.

• Supports both the retail wine store and restaurant operations, with responsibilities spanning inventory management, customer service, and wine events across both departments
• Provides prompt, efficient and friendly guest service
• Educates guests and staff about Italian wine and assists with wine tastings
• Orders, maintains, receives and stocks wine and beverage inventory for the Restaurant and the Retail Wine Store
• Assists with invoice review, cost management and requisitions
• Provides wine and beverage recommendations for guests in the Restaurant and the Retail Wine Store
• Assists with in-house events, seasonal promotions and related administrative duties
• Performs other duties as required or assigned

• High school graduate or equivalent
• 1+ years of wine sale experience
• Excellent communication skills
• Basic math skills
• Strong knowledge of wine, in particular Italian wine

Job Requirements

• Availability to work onsite with a flexible schedule often including evenings and weekends
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending and squatting

Compensation

• Compensation for this role is CAD $22.00 hourly
