Job Title: IT Systems Administrator (Senior)
Contract: 1 Year, with a potential renewal
Location: Ergo Office, 1sT Floor Block T, D03 R6C6, Co. Dublin
Working Model: Onsite Client Office/Ergo Office.
Role Type: Individual Contributor
Responsibilities:
• Conduct assessments of the existing technology landscape to identify opportunities for improvement,
ensuring systems remain up to date, addressing bottlenecks, and enhancing reliability and
performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align IT initiatives with strategic business objectives while
ensuring compliance with organizational policies and industry best practices.
• Lead efforts to evaluate, implement, and optimize emerging technologies, tools, and methodologies
in line with the Courts IT strategy.
• Drive innovation and operational excellence by proactively improving IT infrastructure, processes,
and performance.
• Ensure the security, stability, and efficiency of IT systems through continuous monitoring,
maintenance, and best practice implementation.
• Apply a deep understanding of technology to enhance system performance, scalability, and
resilience.
Skills & Experience:
• 5+ years of experience working in complex enterprise-level infrastructure.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field (e.g., Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or similar
discipline).
• Good understanding of the ITIL framework.
• Familiarity with ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow).
• Strong experience in hybrid identity management.
• Direct experience with cloud technologies (Azure).
• Good experience with Microsoft 365 services (Intune, Exchange Online, SharePoint, Microsoft
Defender).
• Experience with JSON and Bicep-based code in an Azure context.
• Ability to read, create, modify, and deploy ARM-based templates to Azure.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and GitHub (advantageous).
• Proficient in Windows Server operating systems and Windows 10/11 desktop environments.
• Extensive experience in designing, deploying, and maintaining virtualised environments (Hyper-V,
Citrix 2203 or later).
• Strong experience with Microsoft System Centre suite (SCOM, SCCM, SCVMM, etc.).
• Working understanding of Microsoft SQL Server technologies.
• Administration of storage systems (e.g., SAN).
• Strong knowledge of backup and recovery solutions (Veeam preferred).
• Strong knowledge of security patching methodologies both on-premises and in the cloud.
• Experience working with PKI infrastructure.
• Ability to troubleshoot network infrastructure (LAN, VLANs, VPN, DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP stack).
• Familiarity with data communication protocols (HTTP, SIP, TLS/SSL, TCP/IP, SNMP, LDAP, RDP, SSH).
• PowerShell and Bash scripting for automation.
• Experience with DEX tooling (advantageous).
• Ability to resolve complex and technically challenging issues related to the technologies using a
strategic approach.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Microsoft Certifications: Azure Fundamentals, Azure Administrator Associate (preferred but not
required)
• Other relevant ICT qualifications: CompTIA Network+ or equivalent.
