About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Windows Driver Developer to join our dynamic team in Bangalore. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of Windows device drivers, ensuring seamless integration with our hardware and software platforms. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to define driver requirements, implement robust solutions, and resolve complex issues. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of Windows internals, driver development frameworks, and hardware interfaces, along with excellent problem-solving and communication skills. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge technology and make a significant impact on our product offerings. The role requires a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, with a preference for candidates with more than 5 years of experience in Windows driver development.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain Windows device drivers using WDK, KMDF, UMDF, and WDM.
• Collaborate with hardware, firmware, and architecture teams to define driver requirements and integration strategies.
• Debug and resolve driver issues using tools like WinDbg, ETL, and Debug Viewer.
• Ensure compatibility across Windows versions and compliance with HLK and other Windows requirements.
• Participate in code reviews, documentation, and validation planning.
• Contribute to architectural decisions for driver frameworks and protocols.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from design to deployment.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest Windows driver development technologies and trends.
• Work closely with QA teams to ensure the quality and stability of drivers.
Required Skills & Qualifications
• More than 5 years of experience with Windows internals and driver development frameworks (KMDF, UMDF, WDM).
• Strong proficiency in C/C++ and Windows kernel programming.
• Familiarity with hardware interfaces and components such as PCI, camera IPs and sensors.
• Hands-on experience with debugging tools and remote debugging techniques.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics engineering, Computer Science or any similar streams.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Solid understanding of operating system concepts and data structures.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong analytical and debugging skills.
