The Windchill System Administrator is responsible for the administration, maintenance, and optimization of the Windchill PLM system. This role ensures the availability, performance, security, and integrity of the Windchill environment to support product development and collaboration within the organization.   

Install and configure Windchill software components, including Windchill PDMLink, Windchill ProjectLink, and other related modules. Set up and maintain databases, application servers, and other infrastructure components required for Windchill.   

Perform regular system maintenance tasks, including patching, updates, and backups. 

Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability and reliability.      

Implement and enforce security policies and access controls to protect sensitive product data. 

Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.   

Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, procedures, and best practices.   

Optimize system performance by tuning configurations   

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, developers, and IT personnel, to support product development processes.   

Plan and execute system upgrades and migrations to newer Windchill versions.   

Patch updates , data center migration, Vault maintenance, Cluster, SSO , SSL setup, File server configurations   

Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity in case of system failures.   

Maintain the LDAP and Adaptors to connect windchill with the active directory of Client. 

Build and deployment process for the Project using devops methodologies ( CICD, GIT, GITHUB, GIT Flow)\ 

Having knowledge on GITHub Actions, YAML scripting is an advantage. 

Total Experience Expected: 06-08 years

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 

Proven experience as a Windchill System Administrator or in a similar role. 

Sound knowledge on Windchill architecture. 

Should have experience in working with Windchill 9, 10 11 and 12 versions. 

Strong knowledge of Windchill PLM software and related technologies. 

Proficiency in system administration of Windows and/or Linux servers. 

Familiarity with database management (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server). 

Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. 

Strong communication and collaboration skills. 

Ability to work in a team and independently.
