Windchill Application Architect/PLM Technical Architect

Job description

The Windchill PLM Solution Architect is responsible for designing and implementing enterprise Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solutions using PTC Windchill and ThingWorx platforms. This role focuses on enabling digital thread, smart connected products and driven product lifecycle solutions by integrating PLM with IoT platforms, enterprise applications, and engineering tools.

The architect will define scalable architecture, lead PLM and IoT solution design, and ensure alignment with business objectives across product development, manufacturing, and service operations.

 

Key Responsibilities

1. Solution Architecture

• Design end-to-end PLM and IIoT solution architectures using Windchill and ThingWorx platforms.
• Define Digital Thread architecture connecting engineering, manufacturing, and service data.
• Develop scalable architecture for:• Product data management
• Connected product lifecycle management
• Smart manufacturing and service solutions.

• Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards and IT strategies.

 

2. Windchill PLM Architecture

• Architect and implement solutions using Windchill modules including:• PDMLink
• ProjectLink
• MPMLink
• Change and Configuration Management
• Supplier Collaboration

• Define PLM data models, workflows, and lifecycle states.
• Design scalable BOM management and product configuration solutions.
• Lead Windchill implementation, upgrade, and migration initiatives.

 

3. ThingWorx IoT Architecture

• Design IIoT applications using ThingWorx for connected products and smart operations.
• Develop architecture for:• Asset monitoring
• Predictive maintenance
• Digital twin solutions
• Remote service enablement

• Implement ThingWorx components including:• Thing Models
• Mashups
• Data Services
• Event processing
• Analytics integration.

 

Certifications (Preferred)

• PTC Windchill PLM Certification
• TOGAF or other enterprise architecture certifications
• ThingWorx Developer Certification

B.E., B.Tech, Any graduation
