Wi-Fi/Bluetooth Firmware Engineer

Key Responsibilities:
• Investigate and analyse defects reported by Customers, QA and internal development teams
covering Wi-Fi protocols, performance and stability. Break down complex issues for faster
resolution.
• Analyse and characterize the impact of interference on Wi-Fi performance and develop
strategies to mitigate it.
• Investigate, debug and root cause System and Protocol issues.
• Hands-on debugging of issues identified and reported as part of different test cycles
• Follow Software Development Life Cycle to deliver high quality tested solutions
• Collaboration with cross site development and test teams
• Customer engagement on issues as part of Exynos SOC Commercialization process
• Adhering to the required project processes for smooth execution of deliverables
Necessary Skills / Attributes:
Education: BE/BTech/MS/ME/MTech in ECE/CSE
Experience: 3 – 6 years of experience in Wi-Fi Firmware development. Experience
in developing embedded protocol software for a resource-constrained real time environment.
• Excellent C programming skills with strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
• Understanding of Operating System fundamentals and RTOS (e.g. FreeRTOS, etc.)
• Knowledge of WLAN 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax protocols.
• Experience of Wi-Fi and Bluetooth Coex operations and mechanism in Embedded solution
• Knowledge of working on Linux/Unix platforms.
• Experience with crash dump analysis with software, e.g. Trace32 and Wi-Fi debugging tools
(Wireshark, etc.)
• Excellent problem solving ability and tenacity in finding root cause for complex issues with focus
on delivering quality results
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Usage of continuous integration and version control tools (e.g. Git, Gerrit, Jenkins, etc.).
• Knowledge of Python for scripting/automation is an advantage
