Job Description
About Us
Buildsafe is a market leader in providing height safety systems and solutions within the residential building and construction space. Our innovative product rage includes guardrail edge protection, void protection systems, working platforms and Scaffolding.
Due to an internal promotion, we are now seeking an experienced WHS Advisor for NSW.
About the Opportunity
This is a hands-on, in-field role where you’ll play a key part in influencing how safety is understood and applied across our NSW operations.
You’ll spend the majority of your time (around 70%) out in the field, working alongside our teams across Sydney and Newcastle, with occasional travel to our satellite branches in Port Macquarie and Nowra. This isn’t a desk-based compliance role — it’s about building relationships, coaching behaviours, and embedding a genuine safety-first mindset.
You’ll partner closely with operational leaders and crews to connect the dots between safety, behaviour, and real outcomes on site.
What You’ll Be Doing
Coaching and influencing teams to build strong safety behaviours on site
Supporting the implementation and adoption of WHS systems and processes
Delivering practical, engaging training to address safety gaps
Communicating safety updates, changes, and key initiatives across the business
Partnering with leaders on incident investigations, inspections, and reporting
Supporting ongoing compliance, data analysis, and WHS reporting requirements
About You
Tertiary qualification in WHS or Safety Management (preferred)
Experience in a WHS role within construction, manufacturing, or industrial environments
Strong ability to build relationships and influence at all levels
A coaching-led approach to safety — you lead through engagement, not just enforcement
Comfortable working in the field and partnering closely with operational teams
What’s in it for You

Work for a National Market Leader
Choice of a work phone or phone allowance
Work ute provided
Uniform allowance provided
Access to Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
Fitness Passport (discounted gym memberships)
