Established and Highly Respected Counseling Team Looking for a School-Based Counselor!
Are you passionate about providing compassionate and effective mental health care to students and families? HWS Best Health West Branch Schools Counseling Team is seeking a dedicated Counselor. This role offers the opportunity to work with students.
Primary Responsibilities:
Complete Diagnostic Assessments: Conduct thorough diagnostic assessments to understand clients' needs and develop appropriate treatment plans
Obtain Consent: Obtain consent for treatment and release of information forms in accordance with ethical and legal standards
Provide Individual Counseling: Conduct individual counseling sessions to address clients' mental health concerns and promote well-being
Family Sessions: Conduct family sessions as needed to address family dynamics and support holistic healing
Support in Crisis Situations: Offer timely support and interventions in crisis situations to ensure clients' safety and well-being
Develop Treatment Plans: Collaborate with clients to develop personalized treatment plans that address their unique goals and challenges
Requirements:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or related field (Master’s preferred)
Licensure or eligibility for licensure as a mental health counselor (LPC or LPCC), clinical social worker (LSW or LISW), or psychologist (PsyD) in the state of Ohio
Experience working with children, adolescents, teenagers, adults, and families in a mental health setting
Strong clinical assessment and intervention skills
Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
Proficiency in telehealth platforms for virtual counseling sessions
