Welder/Piledriver

Primary Purpose

We are seeking a skilled Welder/Piledriver to join our team. This individual will be responsible for safely performing high-quality welding and piling work in accordance with project specifications and safety standards.

Essential Job Functions

Perform welding tasks for various projects including structural steel and pile driving operations.

Execute penetration groove welds ensuring proper strength and integrity of the welds.

Work with blueprints, specifications, and other technical documentation to understand the scope of work.

Ensure all welds meet structural welding standards.

Operate and maintain welding equipment safely and efficiently.

Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure welds meet company and industry standards.

Collaborate with project managers and other team members to ensure deadlines are met.

Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.

Perform pile driving activities including setting and driving piles for foundations and structures.

Follow all safety regulations and ensure compliance with OSHA and other relevant standards.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a welder/piledriver in heavy civil marine construction is preferred.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.

Strong understanding of welding techniques, equipment, and materials.

Ability to lift and carry heavy materials, work in various weather conditions, and operate heavy machinery.

Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug test.

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, climb, kneel, crawl, stoop and/or sit.

Must be able to tolerate heat, harsh weather conditions, confined spaces, and high noise levels.

Work will frequently require individuals to push, pull, bend or stand for long periods of time, and climb ladders that have capacity limits of 300 lbs.

Must be able to lift or carry miscellaneous equipment, supplies and parts up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
