Job Description
This position is responsible for welding and fitting aluminum parts using a MIG/TIG process. This position will complete fabrication duties and perform other tasks assigned by manager. This individual would be doing other various tasks alongside this position, such as, making truck & cable assemblies, smaller production orders for stock, drilling flagpoles, and assisting with the weekly tube truck.
Duties:
• Read and interpret drawings to determine specific welding requirements
• Ensure work is done safely and meets quality standards
• Provide a great level of attention to detail
• Fabricating custom items and prototypes
• Operate various cutting machines
• Shoe-base flagpoles
• Pole Top Adaptor (various sizes)
• Roof and tire mount
• 6” Vertical Wall Bracket
• Non-tangle rods (Various sizes)
• Welding of new threads to the top of flagpoles
• Yardarms and ground sleeves
• Halyard Covers
• NTR Rods
• Produce all stock and must ship work orders (truck & cable assemblies, cable assemblies, etc.)
• Light Poles (tunnel & beacon)
Fabrication/Assembly Duties:
• Assist in various projects as needed
• Grinding
• Sanding
• Drilling
• Prepare “M” winch poles
Fabrication Backup Tasks:
• Fabricate ground sleeves to ship via UPS
• 10” & 12“ M Winch installation
Job location: Oak Creek, WI
Job Type: tempt-to-hire
1st Shift: 7:45 am-4:00 pm, M-F
Salary: $22-25 per hour
Requirements:
Completion of 4-years of high school, or equivalent is strongly preferred
Over 2 years experience is preferred
