Welder/Fitter Combo
Ashland VA
Contract to Hire
$24.00 - $28.00 (Depending on Experience)

Qualdoc is seeking experienced Flux Core Welders and Welder/Fitters for our client in Ashland, VA. This role will be responsible for welding heavy industrial structural steel equipment and components using shop drawings for fabrication. This position is a contract with the potential to go full-time based on performance and business needs.

Overtime!!!! 50-56 hours weekly!!

Requirements:
• Experience in Flux Core Arc welding
• Able to pass a Full Penetration Vertical Weld test
• Able to pass a Fillet Overhead weld test
• Knowledge of AWS D1.1 welding standards
• Able to read shop drawings
• Able to read AWS weld symbols
• Able to lift 50 lbs
• Have your own welding and safety equipment (welding helmet, gloves, and steel toes)

Shift:
• Monday - Friday with some Saturdays as required
• 1st shift: 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM (10 hours a day)
