We are constantly growing and currently looking for a skilled mechanic to join our team as a Fabricator!
Typical requirements include short lead time, small to large size parts, complex welding. We collaborate with our design engineers to optimize design requirements and to provide very quick and extremely dependable service. Multi-Power fabricators know it is important to deliver high quality parts and service.
Fabricator
Purpose: This is a hands-on operating position in the fabrication department. The individual will be responsible for completing tasks assigned in a safe and efficient manner, while achieving the highest quality possible. The main duties and responsibilities are listed below. Tig and Mig welding experience required.
Duties/Responsibilities: This position is responsible for (but not limited to) the following:
Ability to work alone with little supervision to complete assigned task
Ability to weld various metals using a variety of methods: MIG, TIG and stick, both steel and aluminium
Be able to read and understand drawings, offer constructive advice to either simplify the part and/or make it more cost effective
Be able to build parts/assemblies from simple sketches and verbal instruction
Must follow all company procedures and protocols
Must follow instructions from department Manager and Lead Hand
Fabrication skills are an asset
Personal
Work in a safe, responsible and efficient manner.
Work well with others
Obtain appropriate training for their position, and ask questions when necessary
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Value Adding
Maintain quality control in Fabrication Shop
Constantly looking for time improvements and efficiencies
Operate equipment in an optimum manner
Asset Protection
Request parts and components when necessary
Recording materials to be posted to work orders
Ensuring time is coded to work orders properly
Operate equipment in an optimum manner
Work Environment
Mostly indoors, in Machine/Fabrication Shop
Eye protection and steel toed boots required on site
Hours are 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Monday to Friday
This position is full time: Flexible shifts available!
Qualifications
Post-Secondary Training, certified Welder
5+ years in related employment
High School graduate, Grade 12
Safety training, safe work habits
