Position Summary
We are looking for motivated welders to join our Cobourg team. This role is ideal for welding students, recent graduates, or individuals with shop experience who are eager to build a long-term career in welding.
This is a hands-on role where you will gain real shop experience from day one while working alongside experienced welders and supervisors.
Key Responsibilities
Perform MIG welding on steel parts and assemblies
Read and interpret basic blueprints, drawings, and work instructions
Fit, weld, and inspect your own work to meet quality standards
Operate welding equipment, grinders, and measuring tools safely
Maintain a clean and organized work area (5S standards)
Follow all health & safety procedures and PPE requirements
Learn from experienced welders and continuously improve skills
Qualifications & Requirements
Welding school training or some hands-on shop experience
Basic knowledge of MIG welding techniques and equipment setup
Ability to read and understand simple technical drawings
Strong work ethic and reliable attendance
Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards
CWB certification is an asset (not required; training support available)
