What You’ll Do and What Success Looks Like
Develop, maintain, and continuously refine credit risk policies, approval frameworks, and decisioning rules for SCF, e-commerce seller financing, and cross-border trade products, ensuring alignment with risk appetite, business strategy, and HKMA/virtual bank regulatory requirements.
Perform in-depth data analysis on transaction, credit, and behavioral datasets to identify emerging risk patterns, portfolio vulnerabilities, and performance drivers; design risk segmentation, early warning indicators, and policy optimization recommendations.
Collaborate cross-functionally with product, business development, data science, technology, and operations teams to embed risk policies into product design, approval engines, monitoring dashboards, and customer journeys.
Monitor market trends, competitor practices, and regulatory developments in cross-border e-commerce and trade finance; proactively update policies, thresholds, and controls to maintain competitiveness and compliance.
Produce high-quality risk reports, policy documents, and executive briefings to support senior management decision-making, portfolio reviews, and governance forums.
Support model validation, back-testing, stress testing, and ad-hoc risk assessments for new products, segments, or market expansions.
What is Required and What We’re Looking For
Minimum 5 years in credit risk management, analysis, or policy development, ideally within banking, fintech, or trade/supply chain finance; experience in e-commerce seller financing or cross-border trade is highly preferred
Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related quantitative discipline
Deep understanding of risk dynamics in cross-border e-commerce platforms (e.g., Amazon SC/VC) or SME trade finance, including value chain risks, data sources, and alternative risk assessment techniques.
Proven track record in designing and implementing credit policies, decisioning logic, or risk models that drive business outcomes while controlling losses.
Excellent collaboration and influence skills, with experience navigating matrixed environments across business, product, tech, and compliance functions.
Proactive, adaptable, and resilient in a fast-paced fintech environment with strong ownership mindset.
