Weighbridge Operator / Checker
Location: Irlam Depot (M44 5AY)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 06:00 - 15:00 (45hrs)

Ensure the efficient operation of the weighbridge and associated administration systems while maintaining accurate, compliant records.

Your core responsibilities
• Ensure all waste acceptance procedures comply with site permit and company instructions.
• Weigh all vehicles, completing tickets accurately and operating the computer weighing system to ensure correct customer charges.
• Assist the Site Supervisor with the completion of EA Waste Returns and required reports.
• Input, manage, and maintain accurate data within spreadsheets and site IT systems.
• Process supplier invoices, goods out information, and complete associated administration tasks.
• Deliver excellent customer service by handling telephone enquiries, operating site administration systems, and supporting overall site efficiency.

Our essential requirements
• Knowledge of the waste industry.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Computer literate with strong numeracy and literacy skills.
• Good customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to juggle priorities and work under pressure with conflicting deadlines.
