Job Title: Wedding, Event & Venue Host
Reports to: Wedding, Event & Venue Supervisor
Employment Type: Part-time
Job Summary:
The Wedding, Event & Venue Host works closely with the Wedding, Event & Venue Supervisor, Visitor Experience Manager, Group & Corporate Program Coordinator, and the Café service provider to coordinate the execution of various group bookings and functions, including corporate rentals, weddings, tourism programs and school programs. This individual will host various bookings and attend to client needs. Requires flexibility in availability including weekdays, evenings and weekends as driven by client needs.
Primary Duties
Point of contact and greet facility rental clients upon arrival, assisting them as needed throughout their stay. This includes training on any FWA owned vehicles and equipment.
Set up facilities/rooms (tables, chairs, A/V equipment, catering, etc) as needed, ensuring timely communication to relevant onsite staff about client needs prior to client arrival.
Ensures that event sheets are accurate after the completion of functions so that invoicing can happen in a timely manner.
Communicate with cleaning contractors onsite.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
2+ years experience in events hosting, banquet or service industry
Proven problem-solving abilities
Strong ability to multi-task
Must possess strong attention to detail
Exceptional guest service orientation
High personal integrity, professionalism and maturity
