Key Responsibilities:
• Install, configure, and administer IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS) environments across multiple platforms.
• Manage Apache HTTP Server, IBM HTTP Server (IHS), Apache Tomcat, and JBoss Application Server configurations and deployments.
• Administer and maintain Microsoft IIS (Internet Information Services) environments.
• Perform application deployments, upgrades, patch management, and troubleshooting on various middleware platforms.
• Monitor system performance, availability, and security, ensuring web environments are operating optimally.
• Work closely with development, infrastructure, and security teams to support enterprise applications and resolve issues.
• Implement and maintain clustering, load balancing, and high-availability configurations.
• Develop and maintain operational documentation, scripts, and procedures.
• Participate in on-call rotation and provide support during off-hours as needed.
Required Skills & Experience:
• Proven experience as a WebSphere Administrator in enterprise environments.
• Strong expertise in:
• IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS)
• Apache HTTP Server
• Apache Tomcat
• IBM HTTP Server (IHS)
• JBoss Application Server
• Microsoft IIS (Internet Information Services)
•
• Solid understanding of application server clustering, failover, and load balancing concepts.
• Proficiency in web server security, SSL/TLS certificate management, and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with scripting languages (Shell, Python, or PowerShell) for automation and administrative tasks.
• Experience with performance tuning and capacity planning of middleware environments.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Relevant certifications in IBM WebSphere, Apache, or JBoss administration.
• Experience with cloud platforms and containerized deployments (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
