Job Description

4 Thirteen is a branding and digital marketing agency with over a decade of experience combining strategy, creativity and content to tell stories that entertain, inform and endure. We don’t just serve a diverse list of clients, from dog food to skincare to mobile service providers - we also manage a portfolio of our own digital platforms and products.

We are looking for a web developer with a minimum of 2 years’ working experience. We want someone with an eye for the big picture as well as the little details. You will:

• Build websites and web applications for our clients as well as our own product portfolio.

• Write both backend and frontend code (we use PHP, Laravel, JavaScript, Vue, jQuery, SASS, PostCSS, and Tailwind CSS)

• Collaborate with other team members and get involved in all aspects of web projects including ideation, design, development, deployment, optimization, and maintenance.

• Improve and maintain our existing projects.

Our ideal applicant is someone who:

• Is familiar with both frontend and backend web technologies.

• Has strong knowledge of Laravel or any industry-recognized PHP frameworks.

• Has expert knowledge of HTML and CSS. You should be able to write your own custom code even if a framework like Bootstrap is not present.

• Is able to maintain code using source control ecosystems (we use Git).

• Has a good understanding of security, testing, monitoring, and supporting web applications.

• Works effectively both independently and within a team.

Score bonus points for this position if you have:

• Experience with TDD

• Knowledge of Vue or any other modern JavaScript frameworks
