Job Description

My client is an established Mid-sized digital agency based in close proximity to the Melbourne CBD. They specialise in building responsive websites and mathematical web applications in-house, which need to run flawlessly on websites, tablets and mobiles. A fast paced, well-organised and technically strong team, everyone collaborates efficiently on multiple projects simultaneously.

Expand and build upon your existing PHP / JS development experience in a fast paced, technically minded agency environment.

The PHP / JS Developer will be responsible for website development, web application development and maintenance and mobile app development.

Reporting to the Technical Lead and working with the design team, the mandate of the PHP / JS Developer is to deliver functional web and mobile solutions for the agency’s clients.

CMSs used include WordPress and Silverstripe. The development team is responsible for technical documentation as well as development. Previous experience in scoping, quoting and testing is essential.

Working within a small and friendly team, the PHP / JS Developer will be required to liaise with internal stakeholders and clients as well as providing sound technical advice and recommendations on projects.

• Minimum of 3 years PHP Development experience in an agency environment
• Solid understanding of OOP, MVC principles with commercial coding experience
• Front-end skills in HTML5, CSS3 (SASS)
• Proficient JavaScript application development (AJAX) experience
• Relational database development and query experience (SQL, MySQL, MongoDB)
• Proven experience with Version control (Git / Subversion) and Web best practices
