We are currently recruiting for a Water Treatment Plant Operative working within our Engineering Department at our potato packing site in Boston, Lincolnshire.
Shift Pattern: Wednesday to Saturday - Fixed Shift
Hours of Work: Wednesday (12:00hrs to 18:00hrs), Thursday to Saturday (06:00hrs to 18:00hrs)
Salary: £13.96 per hour
Key Responsibilities
• Operate daily water treatment plant tasks including chemical dosing, pressing off, and level checking.
• Maintain records of chemical usage and water quality readings accurately.
• Coordinate with the Engineering Manager for ordering chemicals and supplies.
• Assist maintenance engineers with planned and reactive plant maintenance activities.
• Check all site fuel tanks daily and report levels
• Ensure the plant environment is clean, safe, and compliant with health and safety standards.
• Carry out additional duties such as grass cutting using tractor-driven equipment as needed.
Requirements:
• Previous experience in water treatment operations or related industrial/environmental roles preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high safety standards.
• Ability to work well independently and within a team.
• Good communication skills to liaise effectively with colleagues and management.
• Physically fit and able to undertake manual tasks as required.
