We’re looking for an Operations Supervisor to support our growing operations at our project sites located across Western Canada. In this role, you’ll help keep our values alive — ensuring that as we scale, we continue to lead with care, connection, and community.
What You'll Do
Operational Leadership – oversees multiple projects simultaneously or large/complex projects. Sets execution strategy and ensures compliance with project plans. Identifies risks early and implements mitigation strategies. Involves and works with stakeholders appropriately and effectively.
Safety & Environmental Leadership –
sets the safety culture on all projects with full compliance with company and regulatory safety and environmental standards
Financial & Business Accountability – works closely with the Project Manager to ensure project profitability and cost control. Reviews and adjusts labour, equipment, and production plans to meet margin targets. Provides input into bids
People Leadership – creates an engaging environment for teams, often across multiple sites and in accordance with KBL Values. Responsible for resource planning, performance management, employee development.
Technical Expertise - has a deep level of understanding of advanced water management solutions including water treatment, sludge treatment, stormwater management and able to learn our specialized systems and related equipment
Who You Are
You bring 8-10 years of industry experience, or you’ve built strong skills that show you’re ready for the role.
You’re mechanically inclined and eager to keep learning on the job.
You understand the responsibilities that come with supervising a crew, including staying aligned with provincial laws and regulations.
Must have exceptional verbal communication skills, able to give and receive verbal information and direction in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Tools
Valid class 5 drivers license
Working Conditions & Physical Demands
This role requires a high degree of travel to job sites located across Western Canada. You may also be required to be at KBL offices as needed, especially our Richmond office. When not on site, you may work from a home office or a KBL office located close to you. Employees should be prepared for:
Extended periods of sitting, standing, and walking
Significant travel to operational sites or client locations
Exposure to outdoor or industrial environments, including varying weather and terrain
Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required by safety protocols
