Here’s What You’ll Get To Do
• Check wastewater treatment lines and monitor throughout the day.
• Dump filter presses if needed including both the AER press and JPress.
• Troubleshoot pumps in the wastewater system when required.
• Check pH of batch tanks, effluent tanks, and EQ tanks to ensure wastewater process remains compliant with permit requirements.
• Working with hazardous chemicals.
• Fill roll offs with filter cake to be disposed. Use the forklift to move and properly place AER press sludge in the same Roll off as wastewater sludge.
• General housekeeping.
What We’re Looking For
• Be able to process wastewater tanks by adjusting pH levels in specific steps of the process
• Create wastewater batch tanks to be processed
• Clean, dump, and maintain filter presses, both in the Anodize and Paint department
• Conduct pump troubleshooting
• Monitor lamella and adjust polymer flow rate as needed
• Refill and connect treatment chemical containers as needed
• Monitor sludge concentrator tank
• Monitor final effluent box and ensure it is clean and free from solids
• Stop the wastewater process if flow is unable to keep up with production or testing strips indicate an excess of aluminum in the final effluent box.
• Unload chemical trucks (Bulk acid, bulk caustic, drum shipments).
• Operate pretreat line filters and changing filters.
Physical Requirements:
• Excellent attendance and punctual.
• Willing to work overtime and/or respond to facility during off hours, if necessary.
• Adherence to safety rules and policies.
• Able to lift 50 lbs.
• Able to stand on feet for up to 12 hours.
• Quick decision maker
• Attention to detail
• Good hand/eye coordination
• Able to withstand the temperature changes in winter and summer.
• Work in temperatures consistent with outdoor climate conditions and hot machinery (Heat, humidity, etc.)
