Position Summary
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a dynamic work environment and a variety of tasks. As a Waste Technician, you will spend 70% of your time handling non-hazardous and hazardous waste materials, including collection, sorting, packaging, processing and some shipping/receiving. The remaining 30% will involve assisting at Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) collection events, where residents drop off materials like paint, oil, and other household waste items.

Responsibilities
Manage inventories of both hazardous and non-hazardous waste materials.
Sort, identify, process, and label waste materials according to safety standards.
Support Processing and shipping documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Physically load and unload materials as needed.
Assist with household hazardous waste collection events at various sites.
Support processing activities related to waste management.
Adhere to all health and safety requirements to maintain a safe work environment.
Monday to Friday work schedule with occasional Saturday shifts.
Work Environment and Benefits
Competitive hourly wage ($21.00/hour based on experience)
Full-time hours OR Part-time hours (flexible days, 15 – 30 hours per week)
