The Director of Clinical Services – Wasilla provides comprehensive clinical leadership and operational oversight
for all 3.5 Residential and Outpatient clinical services in Wasilla. This role is responsible for ensuring excellence
in service delivery, regulatory compliance, ethical practice, staff supervision, and alignment with True North
Recovery’s mission, values, and accreditation standards.
This position serves as the senior on-site clinical authority for Wasilla 3.5, 2.5, 2.1, 1.0, and RCS programs,
providing leadership across multidisciplinary teams and acting as a key liaison between clinical staff, executive
leadership, and community partners.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Clinical & Program Oversight
Provide oversight of all Wasilla 3.5 Residential and Outpatient programs to ensure high-quality,
evidence-based clinical services
Develop, implement, and update clinical policies and procedures in accordance with:
o True North Recovery standards
o State of Alaska Behavioral Health regulations
o Joint Commission accreditation requirements
Monitor compliance with legal, ethical, and quality standards across programs
Coordinate audits, review client records, and ensure clinical documentation meets regulatory and
organizational expectations
Facilitate and lead weekly clinical meetings and treatment team discussions
Clinical Leadership & Supervision
Provide individual and group clinical supervision to licensed clinicians, case managers, and counseling
staff
Serve as a clinical consultant for urgent situations and provide crisis management support
Ensure appropriate use of DSM-5 diagnoses and ASAM criteria across levels of care
Assign cases and oversee clinical staffing models to ensure continuity and quality of care
Serve as an on-call clinical leader as needed
Staff Management & Culture
Recruit, hire, onboard, and retain qualified clinical staff
Evaluate employee performance and provide coaching, corrective action, and professional
development as needed
Foster a healthy, collaborative, and values-driven workplace culture
Model ethical behavior, professional boundaries, and self-care practices
Support staff growth, leadership development, and work–life balance
Administrative & Strategic Responsibilities
Represent True North Recovery in meetings with community partners and external stakeholders
Participate in budgeting, resourcing, and strategic planning for Wasilla clinical services
Collaborate with executive leadership to align clinical operations with organizational goals
Ensure effective communication between residential and outpatient teams
Required Qualifications
Master’s degree in counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a closely related field preferred
Licensed Professional Counselor – Supervisor (LPC-S) preferred
Chemical Dependency Counselor – Supervisor (CDC-S) required
Extensive knowledge of:
o Clinical supervision principles and practice
o Mental health disorders (DSM-5)
o substance uses disorder treatment and ASAM levels of care
Demonstrated experience providing clinical supervision in behavioral health settings
Experience overseeing multidisciplinary clinical teams in residential and/or outpatient environments

Clinical Supervision
Provide clinical supervision to mental health and crisis clinicians across programs.
Support licensure supervision for pre-licensed staff while also offering ongoing support to
independently licensed clinicians.
Conduct regular supervision meetings and case consultations in alignment with ethical and licensing
standards.
Promote evidence-based practices and clinical skill development across the team.
Foster a supportive, collaborative, and accountable supervision culture.
Education & Training
Provide training to TNR staff to support organizational initiatives.
Represent the organization in community events, workshops, and interagency collaborations, as
needed.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This role is primarily performed in an office building with standard office environment and controlled temperatures. When working outdoors or at a job site the employee may be exposed to construction equipment or other moving objects/equipment; reference job site specifics. The employee is occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. Employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, talk/hear, see, read, and personally interact with others.
