The Opportunity - FLY IN/FLY OUT, CAMP PROVIDED
MFM LP, a Mikisew Group company, is currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Equipment Washer to join our operation at Kearl Lake. This position will provide labour support for MFM LP Operations on site. MFM LP provides comprehensive Client services in vehicle inspection, light duty vehicle repair and overhead crane services.
This is position is Fly In/Fly Out, camp-based. This position is reflective of a Compressed Work Week schedule (now known as an Hours of Work Averaging Arrangement), consisting of 12 hours/day with a shift cycle of 14 days on, 14 days off.
Purpose & Key Accountabilities: This position will provide cleaning of light duty interior/exterior and undercarriage of client vehicles as well as maintain the wash bay to company established standards.
Duties & Responsibilities
Washing and cleaning undercarriage and exterior of vehicles
Undercarriage high pressure wash
Care and maintenance of all wash rack related equipment keeping it clean, safe and organized
Carry out housekeeping activities when requested
Execute daily work instructions received from Shop Manager & Lead Hand in a timely manner
Work effectively to meet or exceed productivity goals while maintaining high quality standards
Ensure safety policies, standards and procedures are followed
Assist in waste disposal and recycling activities
Maintain vehicles and material handling equipment in safe and good working condition
Drive designated vehicles as requested
Report any defective equipment or concerns to Shop Manager
Other duties as required
Qualifications
Valid Alberta Class 5 driver’s license with satisfactory Driver’s Abstract (less than 6 demerits)
Must be eligible to work on all Mikisew Group Industrial Client sites (no history of Site Access being denied by a client).
A valid ESC Common Safety Orientation certification.
A valid ESC Wildlife Awareness certification.
A valid WHMIS certification.
Standard First Aid and Level "C" CPR
Able to successfully obtain clearance of a Pre-access Alcohol & Drug Screening test
Successfully complete a Criminal Record Check (CRC) as a condition of site access.
Able to carry out written and oral instructions
Able to lift up to 50lbs
Previous steam, mobile, truck washing or shop laborer experience
