We are currently hiring Wash/Steam Operators for projects starting in March and April.
Candidate Qualifications:
Experience operating the wash/steam units to clean heavy equipment in industrial and plant safety sensitive environments
Experience with boilers, burners, wands, high pressure cleaning
The candidate doesn't needed to drive the wash/steam unit to site and on site, but needs to have extensive experience operating it once on site. Class 1 Driver's License is an asset, but not necessary
Extensive knowledge of
Operation, care, maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment
Occupational health and safety regulation and safety programs (company and client)
Bonding and grounding of equipment
Operation of venting control equipment including scrubber units
Operation of gas detection equipment
Drug & Alcohol Testing (Provided by Vertex, within 14 Days of Project Start Date)
Safety Ticket Requirements:
H2S Alive
First Aid
Duties and Responsibilities:
Operating the wash/steam units to clean heavy equipment in industrial and plant safety sensitive environments
Rig in equipment including hoses, valves, vent lines, bonding/grounding cables
Perform routine and emergency maintenance and repairs to truck
Operation of air driven valves
Perform assigned emergency response roles
Complete required inspection records for PPE and equipment
Complete required daily paperwork including time tickets and vehicle inspections
Maintain inventories of supplied equipment and chemicals
Perform daily housekeeping of truck, reporting deficiencies immediately
