This position is responsible for contributing to the coordinated efforts of preparing and distributing products to our retail stores. The performance of the duties must align with all Food Safety standards, and ensure a quality service approach to all customers, employees and suppliers. All responsibilities must be performed in a manner consistent with the Farm Boy Way.

Major Responsibilities:

• Assemble orders for delivery with accuracy.
• Ensure that all orders have proper documentation and are stacked in the proper order.
• Ensure that the receiving system is properly administered, making appropriate use of provided resources and equipment.
• Receive, load and unload all products in accordance with established Farm Boy guidelines, alerting the Warehouse Manager to any quality issues.
• Ensure that product is rotated properly at all times to maintain quality and freshness.
• Maintain receiving equipment, receiving area, cooler and storage facilities in a safe, clean and organized fashion.
• Dispose of collected garbage immediately.
• Ensure all suppliers and drivers are treated in a reasonable and fair fashion.
• Perform forklift and janitorial duties as required.
• May be requested to undertake other related duties on a periodic basis.

• Typically requires up to 6 months of experience in a related industry with working knowledge of warehouse operations and procedures.
• Ability to operate forklift and working knowledge of receiving and cooler facilities and equipment.
• Ability to work from directives with little supervision.
• Excellent physical fitness.
• Strong orientation for customer service and team participation.
• Must be flexible in regards to availability and scheduling.
• Fluency in both official languages shall be considered an asset.

 Work & Sensory Environment:

• Unavoidable exposure to dangerous or unpleasant environmental elements such as noise, dirt, dust, vibration and changing temperatures.
• Lack of control over work pace due to multiple and/or tight deadlines beyond one’s control.
• Required to wear cumbersome protective clothing or equipment during shift.
• Required to lift, carry or handle heavy objects.
