PURPOSE OF POSITION:
The Warehouse Supervisor oversees daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient receiving, storage, inventory control, and distribution of goods. This role is responsible for leading a team of warehouse associates, maintaining safety and quality standards, and optimizing processes to support organizational goals. Experience in a manufacturing environment is critical. Warehouse activities include receiving and choosing multiple parts that are used to assemble various switchgear and related pieces of electrical equipment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Plan and coordinate work; trains, motivates, and monitors activities of workers engaged in verifying and keeping records on incoming and outgoing shipments and preparing items for shipment.
• Review shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices, orders and other records to determine shipping priorities, work assignments and shipping methods required to meet shipping and receiving schedules while utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes and rates.
• Oversee incoming and outgoing receiving/shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness and condition of shipments as well as inventory accuracy.
• Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
• Inspect material handling equipment for defects and coordinates repair.
• Direct movement of shipments from shipping and receiving area to storage work areas.
• May assist workers in shipping and receiving activities.
• Adhere to established safety guidelines.
• Perform other duties which may be required by supervisor.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 5 years of experience in warehousing, receiving, inventory control, or materials management in an industrial manufacturing environment, with 2 years of supervisory experience.
PHYSICAL/MENTAL/ENVIRONMENTAL:
Physical Demands:
Activities: Sitting – 25% Walking/Standing – 75%
Lifting: Continuously lift up to 50 lbs.
Bending: Must be able to bend, squat, and climb.
Vision: Long periods of close work on the computer screen and ability to see small or detailed items.
Mental Demands: Interpret, analyze, research and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Environment: Climate controlled office and Shop/warehouse, which is not climate controlled. Exposure to excessive heat and cold, wet/humid conditions, noise/vibration, hazards, dust and fumes.
