Our Auburn hub is seeking a Full-Time Warehouse Operations Agent to support daily warehouse and delivery operations. This role includes forklift operation, freight sorting, pallet building and wrapping, communicating with drivers, assisting with directing warehouse personnel, completing order entry on a computer, making deliveries, and using a smartphone application for barcode scanning.
You must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 70 pounds.
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, with occasional overtime.
Starting Pay: $21.00 per hour

Job Description
SUMMARY
The Operations Agent is responsible for the effective, efficient & timely movement of freight shipments and coordination of all courier operations within an assigned territory while maintaining the highest level of customer service. This position is an active participant in warehouse operations, handling inbound and outbound freight, sorting freight to appropriate routes, communicating with clients, and providing communication and direction to drivers and warehouse workers. The Operations Agent effectively performs assignments and work duties to meet established deadlines and performance goals in a fast- paced environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Receive inbound shipments and accurately prepare and tender outbound shipments
Ensure proper sorting and routing of all freight in assigned territory
Monitor handling of all ocean, air and ground freight to meet security protocols
Monitor pickup and delivery requests in assigned territory and assign to appropriate driver
Monitor, direct and communicate with drivers to meet or exceed client service expectations
Identify and resolve potential operational issues before they arise, and resolve operational issues within assigned territory as they arise
Establish and maintain courteous business relationships with customers, and identify and resolve customer issues or complaints
Ensure drivers maintain accurate electronic and written records of daily pickups and deliveries capturing all freight carried
Review ongoing performance of driver delivery metrics and identify corrective actions needed
Ensure all persons seeking access to building or freight are properly authorized
Ensure proper revenue capture for all freight in assigned territory
Maintain a professional appearance including proper uniform
Maintain excellent work habits including attendance, punctuality & safety procedures
Use company mobile applications on a personal smartphone to complete operational tasks, including barcode scanning and communication
Adhere to all company policies, procedures and guidelines
Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS (SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES REQUIRED)
High School diploma or equivalent
Two years’ experience in logistics, courier, supply chain services, 3PL or LTL management preferred
Must hold a current, valid driver's license with a clean driving record (MVR)
Must meet insurance eligibility requirements for driving company vehicles
Able to safely operate a cargo van, medium duty box truck, and forklift
Demonstrated knowledge of courier logistics and transportation management
Demonstrated knowledge of local geographic area and roadways
Able to read and follow roadmaps
Routinely and repeatedly push, pull, lift and carry up to 50 pounds, and occasionally up to 70 pounds
Able to effectively engage, interface, and communicate with operations personnel, independent operators and customers
Able to utilize effective time management and problem-solving skills
Able to clearly read, write, speak and understand English
Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers and fractions in all units of measure
Able to be a team player
Establish priorities and meet goals even under pressure
Maintain a cheerful, courteous demeanor in difficult situations
Must be able to work a flexible schedule which may include weekends
Must be able to prove eligibility for employment in the United States

COMPUTER SKILLS
Able to operate a handheld scanning device similar to a smartphone
Able to log in to a computer and read and compose email
Able to effectively use proprietary routing and dispatching software
Able to effectively use Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, Google Maps, etc.
