Anglo American Steelmaking Coal
Steelmaking coal is an essential ingredient in blast-furnace steel manufacture, producing steel used for critical building and infrastructure around the world.  In Australia, we operate five steelmaking coal mines in Queensland’s Bowen Basin, and have additional joint venture interests in steelmaking coal and manganese, as well as copper exploration projects underway in North West Queensland and Western Australia.
Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, you will be responsible for assisting the Supply Chain team to deliver high quality, safe and efficient service levels to the Capcoal Opencut Mine. As Warehouse Officer, you will manage the deliveries and off-site transactions for Capcoal operations and ultimately be responsible for the security of inventory held within warehouse locations.
Your key responsibilities will include:
• Supporting the smooth and efficient operation of the warehouse function, contributing to workflow optimisation and team productivity
• Managing core inventory processes, including receipting, storage, stock control, and the secure handling and distribution of company assets
• Assisting in the investigation and resolution of discrepancies across receipting, invoicing, and freight to support timely and accurate financial processing
• Maintaining high standards of housekeeping and organisation to ensure a safe, clean, and compliant working environment
• Participating in regular stocktakes and inventory audits to ensure accuracy and integrity of stock records
• Collaborating with internal teams and suppliers to support effective supply chain and logistics outcomes
To be successful in this role, applicants will be able to demonstrate their commitment to safety and a zero-harm culture.
• You will have Forklift license/s and a Cert III in Warehousing
• Manual C class license
• MR Truck License
• Experience with SAP is also preferred.
• Calm, professional manner with a can-do attitude & strong work ethic
