Job Description:

Job Title: Electrical/HVAC Technician 

Department: Maintenance

FLSA:  Non-Exempt

General Function:

Performs HVAC operations and preventative maintenance and repair throughout the warehouse. Provide maintenance support as necessary to ensure operational objective are met. Perform basic troubleshooting and repair of industrial mechanical/HVAC and electrical systems as needed.

Reporting Relations:

Accountable and Reports to: Maintenance Manager(s) 

Positions that Report to you: None

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Installs and services control wiring. Install electrical wiring.
• Service and perform repairs as necessary on HVAC unit computers, heating, electrical. And air conditioning systems.
• Operate computer systems for HVAC units. (Andover software)
• Monitor HVAC unit computers.
• Maintains repair records.
• Performs other job related duties and special projects as needed.
• Reports to work when scheduled and on time.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Worker Characteristics:

Must have the ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions.

Education and Experience:

Must have three to five years of experience or educational background. Must be 18 years of age or older to apply.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to perform the physical requirements exerting 50-100 lbs. of force occasionally and/or 25-50 lbs. of force frequently and or 1-20 lbs. of force constantly.

Working Conditions:

• Must be able to climb ladders and stairs.
• Frequently required to stand; walk; push; pull; reach with hands and arms; stoop; kneel and crouch.
• Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to use hand and power tools.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and depth perception. Either naturally or with the aid of eyeglasses.

Equipment Used to Perform Job:

PLC’s and HVAC Andover Systems and electrical training preferred. Must provide own hand tools. Frequently operates tractors, scissor lifts, and pallet jack.
