The Role:
• The Vice President of Software Engineering – Fuel is a senior technology leadership role responsible for the strategy, delivery, and continuous evolution of Kalibrate’s fuel software platforms.
• Reporting into the SVP Pricing , the role owns engineering outcomes across fuel products, ensuring teams deliver secure, scalable, and high quality SaaS solutions that meet customer needs and align with Kalibrate’s commercial and product strategy. The role combines technology leadership, people leadership, and execution discipline, operating at both strategic and operational levels. What does success in the position look like?
• Success in this role is demonstrated by:
• Engineering teams that consistently deliver reliable, performant, and scalable fuel products
• Clear alignment between product strategy, engineering execution, and commercial outcomes
• Measurable improvements in engineering efficiency, quality, predictability and delivery velocity, supported by clear metrics and continuous improvement practices
• A modern engineering environment capable of deploying GenAI features, whilst responsibly leveraging AI enabled productivity tools to accelerate delivery while maintaining quality and control
• Strong cross functional partnerships with Product, Operational, Commercial, and Client teams
• A highly engaged, inclusive engineering organisation where teams feel connected, supported and accountable, with clear development pathways and strong leadership at all levels
• The VP Software Engineering – Fuel plays a critical role in enabling Kalibrate’s growth by:
• Ensuring engineering capability scales in line with market demand and product ambition
• Supporting faster, more reliable delivery of value to customers
• Enabling data led and platform driven product evolution
• Managing technical risk and operating costs while supporting innovation
• Providing confident, credible technology leadership within the Senior Leadership team
