We need a VP of Investor Relations to develop and execute a compelling investor strategy, build strong relationships with analysts and institutional investors, and effectively communicate our financial performance and growth story.
This is a full-time role and will work a hybrid schedule based in Lehi, Utah.
What is a day in the life of a VP of Investor Relations?:
•
Develop and execute the investor relations strategy, ensuring clear and compelling communication of the company’s financial performance and strategic vision to investors and analysts.
•
Serve as the primary point of contact for institutional investors, analysts, and key stakeholders, fostering strong relationships to enhance market confidence.
•
Prepare and deliver quarterly earnings reports, investor presentations, and financial disclosures, working closely with the executive team and finance leadership.
•
Monitor market trends, analyst reports, and competitor performance to provide strategic insights and recommendations to executive leadership.
•
Collaborate with internal teams—including finance, legal, and communications—to ensure consistent messaging and compliance with SEC regulations.
What will I need to thrive in this role?:
•
Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field.
•
8+ years of experience in investor relations, equity research, or investment banking, with a strong preference for candidates from top-tier investment banks (Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan, Morgan Stanley, etc.) or leading asset management firms (BlackRock, Blackstone, Fidelity).
•
Must have experience working for a public company, with a deep understanding of the capital markets and investor relations best practices.
•
Strong preference for candidates with experience covering tech, internet, e-commerce, or consumer products/CPG sectors.
•
Exceptional financial acumen, including experience in sell-side or buy-side analyst roles (5+ years), with a proven ability to interpret and communicate financial metrics effectively.
•
Strong executive presence with the ability to engage, influence, and instill confidence in investors, analysts, and internal leadership.

What does success look like in the first 30, 60, 90 days?:
First 30 Days:

Gain a deep understanding of the company’s financials, market positioning, and competitive landscape.

Meet with key internal stakeholders, including the executive team, finance, legal, and communications teams, to align on investor relations priorities.

Establish relationships with key analysts and investors, introducing yourself and starting to build trust.
•
Review past investor materials and earnings reports to identify opportunities for improvement in messaging and strategy.
•
Develop an initial roadmap for enhancing investor engagement and analyst coverage.
First 60 Days:
•
Begin actively engaging with investors and analysts, providing insights and responding to inquiries confidently.
•
Collaborate with finance and executive teams to prepare for the next earnings call, ensuring key messages are refined and impactful.
•
Start implementing a targeted investor outreach strategy, identifying potential new investors and strengthening existing relationships.
•
Monitor and analyze investor sentiment and feedback to refine messaging and engagement tactics.
•
Assess industry trends and competitor positioning to adjust the company’s investor relations approach accordingly.
First 90 Days:
•
Lead the preparation and execution of a successful earnings call or investor event, demonstrating a strong command of the company’s financial narrative.
•
Develop a long-term investor relations strategy, including plans for roadshows, analyst days, and strategic investor targeting.
•
Strengthen analyst coverage and investor confidence by proactively managing relationships and providing valuable insights.
•
Work closely with the executive team to shape the company’s market positioning.
•
Deliver measurable improvements in investor engagement and overall market perception.

You will be supervised by Pattern’s Chief Financial Officer. This team is data driven and results oriented. You will collaborate regularly with members of your team to implement actionable solutions. Ideas and input are encouraged from all members.
