We are seeking a visionary and experienced VP - Data Platforms (Tech AI/ML Lead) to join our cutting-edge technology team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As a key member of our leadership team, you will drive the development and implementation of our AI and machine learning strategies, overseeing our data platforms and spearheading innovative solutions that propel our organization forward in the digital age.

What you will do:

• Lead the development and execution of our AI/ML strategy, aligning it with overall business objectives
• Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of scalable data platforms and AI/ML infrastructure
• Guide and mentor a team of data scientists, engineers, and analysts, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement AI/ML solutions that drive business value
• Establish best practices for data governance, security, and compliance across all AI/ML initiatives
• Stay abreast of emerging trends in AI/ML and data technologies, recommending strategic adoptions
• Manage relationships with key technology partners and vendors in the AI/ML space
• Present AI/ML strategies, progress, and results to executive leadership and stakeholders
• Drive the integration of AI/ML capabilities into existing products and services
• Optimize resource allocation and budget management for AI/ML projects

Minimum Qualification:

• Master’s Degree/PhD in Computer Science, Econometrics, Statistics, or related fields.

Experience:

• Minimum 10+ years in AI/ML or data science, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Proven experience in banking or financial services is highly preferred.
• Hands-on with AI/ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn) and tools (Python, SQL, Spark).
• Experience in Azure ML tools: Databricks etc.
• Experience with end-to-end model lifecycle management and MLOps.
