The Volunteering & Charity Ambassador is responsible for driving and coordinating the organisation’s volunteering and charitable initiatives alongside their core role. This includes building engagement, supporting colleagues to participate in community activities, and ensuring alignment with company values and social impact goals.
This role provides an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on both colleagues and the wider community, while developing leadership, engagement, and organisational skills.
This is not a full-time position. The role will be carried out alongside existing responsibilities, with time allocated as agreed with the line manager depending on business needs and activity levels.

Job Type: part-time alongside core role
Hours: Ad-hoc hours, depending on event schedules

About the role:
Due to our continued growth and commitment to making a positive impact, we are now looking for passionate and community-focused colleague to join us as Volunteering & Charity Ambassador alongside their current role to help drive meaningful volunteering and charitable initiatives across the contract, supporting colleagues to get involved and delivering real social value within our communities.
Lead Volunteering Initiatives
Develop and promote volunteering opportunities for colleagues across the organisation
Act as the main point of contact for all volunteering-related activity
Encourage participation and increase awareness of available initiatives
Charity Partnership Management
Support the selection and ongoing management of charity partners
Build positive relationships with external charities and community organisations
Coordinate fundraising and awareness campaigns
Employee Engagement
Inspire and engage colleagues to get involved in volunteering and charity events
Work with managers to enable participation while balancing business needs
Share success stories and impact updates to maintain momentum
Event Coordination
Plan and deliver charity events, fundraising activities, and volunteering days
Ensure events are well-organised, inclusive, and aligned with company values
Tracking & Reporting
Monitor participation levels, funds raised, and overall impact
Provide regular updates to leadership on progress and outcomes
Governance & Compliance
Ensure all activities align with company policies and guidelines
Promote ethical and responsible engagement with charities and communities
Be aware of all Lanes Group policies and your responsibilities towards them
Any other reasonable ad-hoc duties, tasks or projects as requested by the Senior Leadership Team

About you:
The ideal candidate will:
Ideally have experience in event planning or community initiatives
Have passion for community engagement, volunteering, and social impact
Have strong organisational and coordination skills
Be able to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels
Have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Be able to manage responsibilities alongside core role effectively
